EQUIPMENT & SOFTWARE

ZWA owns and operates Leica Systems GPS receivers with static or network capabilities. Leica Geo Office software is used for GPS planning, processing and adjustment of control networks. Current technical GPS services provided by ZWA include static, fast static, kinematic and real-time kinematic modes. The manufacturer’s pre-planning, post-processing and network closure adjustment and balancing software support all GPS receivers.

ZWA uses National Geodetic Survey sponsored adjustment programs for additional network balancing and “bluebooking” of control networks. ZWA utilizes guidelines set for the planning and execution of geodetic surveys using GPS relative positioning techniques, sanctioned by the Federal Geodetic Control Committee for Geometric Geodetic Accuracy Standards and Specifications for using GPS relative positioning techniques. ZWA provides metadata sheets on all Horizontal & Vertical Control established by our crews. These sheets include Final Horizontal Coordinates in the Texas State Plane Coordinate System, Project Zone in US Survey Feet on the NAD83/93 datum, Final Vertical positions on NAVD88 datum, GPS observation field sketches and photo.

Our electronic field books have the capacity to be processed in Autodesk 2019, CAiCE or Star*Net Plus Software. We utilize Microstation, Arc View, Autodesk Infrastructure Design Suite Premium, to prepare the information required. All survey work performed will be signed, sealed and managed by a Texas Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) in accordance with the current Professional Land Surveying Practices Act, the TxDOT Survey Guide, latest edition, the Texas Board of Professional Land Surveying general rules of procedures and practices, and the Manual of Practice for Land Surveying in the State of Texas published by the Texas Society of Professional Land Surveyors.

Additionally, we have implemented drone services utilizing the DJI Matrice 300 RTK with Zenmuse L1 SP Plus 35 mm lens
